INSPECTION INFORMATION
As of July 1, 2013 Kansas no longer requires a license for home inspectors. This broker recommends you use an InterNACHI®-Certified home inspector. You can search for home inspectors here: https://www.nachi.org/certified-inspectors and here: https://karei.org/findaninspector.html. You should also verify the inspector's insurance and licensure where applicable.
In Kansas, Johnson County's Contractor Licensing Program is more comprehensive because it also requires contractors to attend annual continuing education courses. Most of the program's participating 11 cities, including Overland Park, Prairie Village and Lenexa, will not issue permits to contractors without a Johnson County license.
